Dell LatitudeThe Dell Latitude is a brand of Dell personal laptop computer which is designed and marketed for commercial and business applications. The brand Dell Latitude has been around for several years, and use standardized parts which make it easy to repair, retrofit and refurbish Dell Latitude brand laptops for continued use in business over a long duration of time. Dell Latitude systems are technologically powerful enough to handle the range of popular business applications, without a lot of extra bells and whistles, and are mainly designed for reliability and commercial functionality.Some of the current models of Dell Latitude brand laptop computers are the X1, D420, D520, D620 and D820. The screen sizes for the Dell Latitude brand laptop computers range from twelve point one at the low end to fifteen point four at the high end, so the larger screen models are well suited for business tasks that involve viewing and creation of multimedia and slide show presentations. The Dell Latitude series laptops weight approximately five pounds and slightly less, with the Dell Latitude D260 weighing four point seven pounds as an average. Graphics card upgrades are available from the integrated Intel graphics chip to nVidia discrete graphics, although this runs down the battery significantly sooner. Dell Latitude laptop computer systems are generally based around the Pentium M now, but there are also models with use the Intel Core Duo, Intel Core Solo and Core 2 Duo for added processing speed and power. Many other laptop companies ordered recalls at this point, as the problem had come from commonly used Sony batteries which had made their way into many manufacturers' assembly lines. Despite this setback, the Dell Latitude line seems like a very convenient line of laptop computer for business applications, owing to its ease of upgrade and repair.
